In February we trapped, spayed, and neutered 34 cats! Most were released back to their colonies and caretakers and 3 friendly felines were taken to Kellers Kats to begin their indoor life: Campy, Pumpkin, and Socks đŸ˜»

Campy was in rough shape when we found him — matted and underweight — and along with Pumpkin and Socks, he was clearly ready to live a cozy indoor life with a lucky person. Thank you to @kellerskatsrescue for taking in these sweet cats and helping to find them new homes!

February 28th was World Spay Day, a reminder that spay/neuter is the most effective way to address the serious problem of cat overpopulation. Cats multiply at alarming rates. There will never be enough foster homes, adopters, shelters or small rescues😿

Busy June!

June was another busy month for our volunteer trappers. We helped a total of 58 cats and kittens in the city of Rochester. Many of the 42 “big” cats were returned to their kind feeders who watch out for them every day. These cats have now retired from the kitten-making business.

March Madness! 

This was a huge trapping month for us, with 49 cats spayed or neutered. We evaluate the cats as quickly as we can while they’re in the traps and this month 10 were found to be adoptable!

September summary

Forty-three cats entered our traps in September and 37 of these were spayed or neutered. More than half were females who will be spared the dangers of giving birth to kittens outdoors.
